"These Package files need to be replaced" Could somebody help please?

Firstly an apology if I have put this in the wrong section.

I have recently set up an external hard drive to take a backup on the first of every month. I was guided through this process and the first month all went well.

On the first of this month (the second backup) it repeatedly failed to complete and gave my several error messages which I stupidly didn't write down ... sorry.
So I turned to my trusty Tweaking.com Windows Repair program which has helped me before. I carefully followed the instructions on turning my pc off, draining the residual electricity and starting in safe mode, backing up and doing the pre-scans.
It tell me the following message and I am lost ....
"Combined problems were found with the Package files, these files need to be replaced (these mainly only effect installing Windows updates).
The SFC (System File Checker) doesn't scan and replace some of these files so you may need to replace them manually".

 No idea what that means or where I would find those files (I don't have a disc) and am hoping some kind person here could offer some guidance please?

I ran a Windows Update troubleshooter (even though I don't think I had any problems with updates but that was what was suggested) from this page as I'm fairly sure the original error message was 0x80070003 or 0x80070002 ....

It said it was unable to fix 0x80070005(2017-06-06-T-01_00_41A)
no idea if that will help anyone to guide me through this mess please?

You appear to have 2 problems, Your back-up and windows Updates.

Dont know why your back-up is failing, if its an image Windows Updates should NOT stop it, what are you using??


If you take a windows update to be a book - then a package would be a chapter.
In your case either there's a missing chapter, or a miss-print.

Torchwood - I had no idea there was an Update issue until this machine told me when I was trying to use Tweaking.com Windows Repair to mend/replace the Pocket files it told me were missing. All my updates have happily installed themselves with no issues or upset.

Am off to try and perform the stuff in the other link ThrashZone gave me and bring it back here .... both of your help is much appreciated, thankyou.

I set Tweaking.com to schedule a back-up to E and that seems to have no problems.
