This file does not have a prgram..... Error Message :(

Whenever I try to download/install any software
now, I get this message (Windows 7 Ultimate-64 bit)

for performing this action. Please install a program or, if
one is already installed, create an association in the
Default Programs control panel<<<<<<<<

I can download the software on another PC
with Windows 7 - 32 bit - save it to disk and
install it just fine on the 64 bit PC

I will really appreciate knowing a fix for this issue.

Hello Karen, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If the installation file is an EXE file, then you might see if merging the EXE download at the tutorial link below can restore the default associations to allow it to work again.
