I thought of this good nugget of thought a while back and I thought I should share it to everyone, at least the people that are in school and do essays and papers up the rear. 
So, one of the most suggested things any English teacher would say is to have someone else read through your paper because you might had screwed up some wording or there might be grammatical errors that you didn't catch reading it to yourself. Or, read it out loud, but there's the issue you might skip something or whatever.
Here, my dear forum members, is where technology prevails!
Windows has this nifty feature named, Narrator. With it, the text on your screen is spoken by Windows' built in voices for Narrator.
So, with said word document, one must copy and paste it into Notepad. I know, it sounds odd but Narrator has issues speaking in Word, it must be shy.
But from there, you can set up some paragraph formatting. But make sure you have word wrap enabled in Notepad. And from here, you start up Narrator, hit Ctrl A in Notepad, and Narrator will read it to you! Hooray!
You might catch some things you missed and you might want to fix it, you can do that while being in Notepad. From Notepad, you can save that as a .doc file and later open it up in Word, you might need to change the font and text size.
And hooray! You have a word document that has been proofread but a non-partisan, third party member!
