Three Monitor Setup

So I did a search and did not find my exact query in looking of about 5 pages of results, so apologies if I missed it.

I just bought two new Graphics cards

Geforce 570 for my main monitor (gaming etc) and a Geforce 210 just to run my two 19inch monitors on the side. Didn't need anything with any power, just enough to supply the resolution of two old 19inch monitors for every day crap (not gaming).

They are still in the mail, however will I need any third party software to manage the 3 monitors? Or based on the two card system will Windows and Nvidia control panel handle them?

Thanks

Windows and the Nvidia control panel are all you need to manage them. Now if you want to add a taskbar to each monitor that is another story. One of these days Windows might have native support for it but until then for that you will need a 3rd party app. If you want that a couple you can try are DisplayFusion or Ultramon,

DisplayFusion: Multi-Monitor Taskbar, Multi-Monitor Screen Savers, HotKeys, Multi-Monitor Wallpaper, Windows Logon Changer and more...

Realtime Soft UltraMon

Both have a trial version so you can try it, with DisplayFusion having a free version as well (severely limited compared to the paid version, and missing the taskbar on each monitor).

I'd say just download this single driver for both cards, and you should be good to go: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-270.61-whql-driver.html

But yes, Nvidia would be stable and windows would allow you to add all of the displays. Nvidia's control panel is a little easier than going through windows when you hook them up, so I recommend starting there

I actually just acquired an old 7300GS that I dropped into my rig in addition to my 260GTX, and I am now running 3 monitors (24", 20", and 17") with no trouble. Lags just a little with really intense graphics, but I can comfortably play 2 games and a movie without any issue unless I move them around while playing.
