What are your thoughts on this piece of software? Worth it or not? What settings should I run? My machine is running fine.... steady and no heating issues and want to keep it that way. I rarely play the more fps intensive games but when I do ....lol .... I want them ALL! ( my machine screams on most games especially for a laptop) Suggestions or warnings?

Using version 5.00

FWIW and my $0.02 worth.

If it is working, don't mess with what's working.

Screwing around will only add to the aggrivation factor.

I have dos 6.22, wfwg 3.11, win98, 2000 and xp VHD's available for testing. MS's Virtual PC works great.
Pretty much what I'm doing/thinking too. Though I must say I really like its monitoring abilities, which I have enabled.

Working a machine harder will make more heat. Laptops that have been OC`d have cooling to allow for this. Throttleing a machine that has not been designed to work at a speed will never be good.

Yeah, mine isn't throttled at all, which WAS a "worry/concern" there at first. I'm also a member of Asus's Republic of Gamers forum and been seeing throttling issues come up there with some frequency, mostly with Dell products. Thought I'd have a look see at Throttlestop to see what all the brou ha ha was about. As stated earlier, really like the monitoring aspect of it. Very detailed.
