Hi, My videos (mpg,avi) no longer show thumbnails. They were OK then they just appear now as icons! It's weird as some of them show thumbnails. How do I get them back? Thanks.:sarc:

thumbnails for video files

Hi, After much trouble trying to fix this problem it is still there. Have done as suggested and tried everything but still no luck. I have found out that the following is missing, regsvr32 shmedia.dll, and when I open a cmd prompt (as administrator) it gives me the message that it is not installed. I managed to get some thumbnails for a while but not all now nothing. I have changed default program to VLC and back again to WMP. I wonder if an update from windows is the culprit! Is there a way that I can download regsvr32 shmedia.dll so I do not have to reinstall Windows 7? My pictures are OK and display thumbnails!
