I don't have tried it, but as far as I can see, isn't it just a wrapper and a nicer interface for the standard built-in Windows firewall?
I see little reason to use it. Moreover, the most renowned feature is that it provides NO popups. However, the lack of those popups is precisely, the one of the greats flaws of Windows firewall. Anyone knows if there is some feature that may justify it?

It's not a garden variety type control device, it changes the way Win 7 operates
Windows 7 firewall does have a pop-up, you have to check off the option. Go to the Control Panel to change it. Tiny Wall makes the Win 7 firewall almost bullet proof since it verifies what programs you have on your desktop when you install it, then locks down so if any unauthorized application tries to enter it blocks it.

From TinyWall...... "TinyWall does not keep popping up with questions about applications/processes attempting to connect to the internet. Access is automatically denied to all but the most obvious – but, it is very simple to add any trusted applications to the list of exceptions – TinyWall provides several very easy methods."

It should since it's the same WIN 7 firewall, but i'm not sure since I don't have any games on this computer. It's free, just download and let it read your software and programs using the 'AUTOLEARN' .
What ever you use on your desktop, just open and use them and the 'AUTOLEARN' will label them OK and when you go back to NORMAL, no other program will be let in your computer. You can let in new downloads after you train your computer by switching to AUTOLEARN again .

Il'l give it a go and give some feedback,if i dislike it or it gives me problems il'l mention them. Anyways if anything goes wrong I just back to the regular windows firewall. Will do some little test of my own.

Not sure about that. The downloads I have on my DeskTop are your average programs ( Hit Man, Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Wise Care 365...etc) no games. Haven't had any problems. If a program isn't 'learned' , it can't phone home, like when it is trying to update. I just use 'AUTOLEARN' while it's updating, then switch back to 'NORMAL. Once you get them 'learned' , they will be alright and updating is permitted.

I found this about using GAMES on TinyWall article - TinyWall: The best thing since sliced bread? » Daves Computer Tips

(It's at the bottom of the article in comments)

Jason Clement....July 12,2012

"...I opened multiple browsers, ftp, vpn, online games, and even did a pathping from the command prompt for good measure.. Sometimes I would need to open an application twice before it started working in Learning Mode. And after a while, it just stopped letting new applications connect.
But the fault was mine. I fell prey to the old notion of “setting up the firewall” and trying to do everything. The author designed this firewall to work “as-you-go”. Don’t try to do too much at once. When there is an client application you know you’ll want opened, put Tiny Wall into Learning Mode, do your thing, and set it back. Rinse and repeat for your other crucial client applications. The same goes if you get into white listing by any of the methods available. Remember, it’s a Firewall. It’s designed to block connections and protect your system. If you’re client app isn’t connecting, well, that’s the firewall doing its job. Use the Learning Mode for a few minute and you’ll be fine. Play it casual with Tiny Wall, and it will play nice with you.
It is also a good idea to read the author’s entire FAQ. It’s short and to the point. Though, as a tech, I would answer yes to wanting to know how much memory it is actually using. Task Manager may be simple, but that’s what Sysinternal tools are for.
So, yeah, I’m a fan of TinyWall. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with using commercial firewalls. If you’ve paid for yours, and it’s setup and working for you – great. But if you want something light weight, easy to use, yet still robust, TinyWall should be on your short list.
And yes, it’s free. But that man and this app deserve every donation he gets. Thanks for TinyWall, Karoly. And the writeup is very well done Jim..."

Yeah I been testing it and it's pretty darn good. For the games all i had to do was add them to the white list on tinywall and then it would let the connection in. Also it passes the shieldsup firewall test with not letting anything through :) Just have to add stuff that needs to access the net to the white list,it detected steam, windows update, my browsers,so it was already added but i had to add my games and ccleaner and malwarebytes and ccc so it could update to the whitelist, along with some other programs i use. It's good mate,so far i'm considering leaving it on my machine. Was a little skeptical at first because some reviews said it was hard to use and learn but i found it pretty easy and not to hard to navigate through it,maybe it's because it's a newer version and the comments were from quiet some time ago. So far liking it and not having any problems yet. Even gives options in the whitelist to make it be there permanent or only for a certain amount of time like a couple hours or even 30 to 5mins open only and then it closes the connection to it, pretty neat program. Oh yea i forgot to mention,I have my router firewall setup to not accept pings and it blocked them but before it would let a couple connections in anyways but with this firewall everything gets blocked.

I've tried both download links & used the MD5 and SHA1 hash check provided by the authors website to verify the download. No match. I'll be happy to try this firewall if I can get a download that has a valid hash check, I've never used the hosting sites they link to so I'll wait for a valid hash check. I checked Tinywalls site but see no way to notify them of this issue (of course I may have missed seeing a way). :(

Ok, dl & installing. Oh ya, have Win7 enabled and operational, found 2 Malware files on system messing it up, also added a couple of missing services using a couple of reg key files. Hhmmm, Tiny is finished installing, brb.

Well Tiny bought the farm after install issues & then 7 shut it down after it started having a case of the stupids. Good idea but disfuctional on my system, conclusion, deleted (oh and does NOT come with a uninstaller AND 7's Programs and Features could not uninstall / had issues) with Revo. Done. Now am using PCTools v7 after I found malware screwing up Windows 7's firewall, so removed malware with Windows bug finder & 7's wall works NO PROBLEM (used some of Brinks tutorials short-cut, enable/disable, add to list, etc). But I like PCTools 7, does in / out. Problem(s) solved.
