AGREE Common sense is indeed the Ultimate Protection. But lets face it. Not all computer users use common sense when it comes to the internet and downloads.

I myself have done my fair share of downloading items that i shouldn't have or clicking on things i shouldn't have when im drunk... heh

I use a combination of anti malware software running side by side. Yes this can be done but I use a 64 bit OS, which handles multiple apps like that running side by side in a more stable manner. I run Windows Defender, Malwarebytes and Comodo Firewall without any problems. The rumors about your system becoming unstable while running more than one anti malware program at a time are false. Maybe under a 32 bit system they wouldn't run as well side by side as a 64 bit system, but as far as system instabilities...those just don't happen like they are made to believe. Maybe at worst on a 32 bit system there would be some significant slowdowns depending on your system specifications but that is all. I'm assuming that you are running at least Windows Vista under this fact.

I guess it depends which ones you run together. Try Norton plus McAfee and see what happens - LOL. And I do not see the difference between 32 and 64bit. Why would 64bit behave differently?

The antibiotics I would rub on the Ethernet cable - it gets inside via osmosis.
Oh funk, then YOURS is the way it should be done.. I tried pouring some antibiotic syrup onto the CPU fan and it looked like the PC wasn't quite happy with it

Other than that, I'm a long date AVG user that switched to MSE some months ago and I feel almost fine (I use also Spybot and run a hijackthis scan on a regular basis to see if something just got through).
Plus, UAC and a little bit of sense help me staying away from trouble :)

It is because a 64 bit operating handles larger memory requests better than a 32 bit operating system. 32+32=64. A 64 bit operating system processor can handle twice as much dataflow from a requesting application or applications than a 32 bit OS can and that is one of the main reasons it can handle running antimalware apps better than a 32 bit OS and the reason why it can manage memory over 4GB at all.
