To raid or not to raid

I had 1 until today.. and yea the 2nd does speed it up a bit

can you define a bit? 10% better, 20% better, 1% better. A straight up file copy from 1 folder to another should be much faster. What about booting windows, launching applications or playing games? My guess is that would all be about the same.

I am about to venture into intels raid volume creator ... the computer is an icore 5 on an asus p8p67le mb .
unlocked 2500 cpu 8gb memory 2dvdburners in a thermaltake case and a 750watt psu onboard sound evga 9500 gt video card @ 1gbddr2. hard drives 2 sata 1tb harddrives seagate now showing at 931.5gb non-raid disk.

i want to install win 7 64bit ultimate. looking for instructions on how to best proceed. neither drive hasbeen formated nor partitioned as of yet. was goin to let os format.

question 1 create 1volume in raid 0 ? how much in size do i need? whats best for ultimate? i do not know if i have drivers .i have the asus motherboard disk. i do not know if i have to make a seperate raid drivers disk befoe installing win7? can anyone plzzzzzzz provide some insite.
