Many years ago I was stationed in Berlin (Germany) with the US Air Force. I became friends with a member of the RAF. When he and his wife got posted back to the UK, they invited me and my wife to visit on holiday. They took us to see Leeds - Manchester play. It was like being in the middle of a riot. And then a football game broke out.

well ive done another week, its now five weeks since my last cigarette and im doing OK,
had one near miss but i managed to keep walking past the tobacconist.

so im quite pleased with myself.
i did find the last week tough as my patch dose reduced and i felt it. i was a bit more irritable than usual.
though the kids said there was no difference, whatever could they mean.
anyhow

Stay strong pal....you're well on your way.

This path you're traveling to quit is easier on your family than the way that I quit was on my family (a 12-day hospital stay which included 4 days of being strapped down while unconscious....that's when the actual detoxing took place)

Well, it was much more than smokes that put me in there....lol. Pneumonia was the trigger......after 20 years of hard partying, the body's defenses were weak. Since I got out, I'm at about 5 1/2 years now of being all clean....now my only vices are soda pop and laziness.
