I learned to drive in a Hillman. I just don't remember it being that big.

I learned to drive in a 1972 Dodge Monaco (family car) in 1978 or thereabouts. It was like piloting an aircraft carrier. Constantly had planes trying to land on the hood (bonnet).

Ours was white with a white vinyl top. The headlamp doors were always open because mechanism was broken, a common fault.

This is a picture of a 1938 Chevy. The first car I ever owned was a 1938 Chevy but it didn't look that good.
The old couple that owned it first had painted it with a brush and house paint. (No I'm not crazy) I bought it for a $100.00 and it took me months to remove all the house paint. Wax the car when done and it looked good and ran good until a damn school bus it it. It didn't look good after that but still ran good.

The second car I owned 1947 Plymouth 5 window business coup.
It was gray in color. I swapped engines with for a little more get up and go.

The first car I owned after getting out of the Navy.
1970 Dodge Challenger 440-6PAC Plum Crazy in color.
I have been going slower every sense with all my other cars for street use.

Off the show room floor it did 12.0 at Norwalk Raceway.
I had it up to 160 mph on straight road. Only problem the car only had 100 mph brakes. I like to never got it to slow down after the breaks got hot. Scared the hell out of me and the local farm town. I solve that problem later, better brakes.

Today I reinstalled windows ...... TWICE! Have my poor abused Louise back up and running after several days of weirdness the likes I've never seen before. One reboot she just decided to send about half the MBR to an entirely different drive, disk even! Then she made , all by her lonesome mind you, 2 NEW partitions on my C drive. Oh and ignoring completely my E and F drives most of the time. Shes back almost good as new now though...... finally. Just a few more personal touches and she'll be purring again
