Depending on your location your passport may take up to one week to arrive. If you are unable to take delivery of your passport in person, a card will be left in your letterbox advising you to collect the passport from your local Australia Post outlet.
If you are concerned that your passport has not been delivered within a reasonable time, please first enquire with your Australia Post outlet. If you paid the Priority Processing Fee (PPF) and/or requested to collect your passport from a Passport Office, it will be ready for collection on the next working day from the date of this message. Please ensure that you present your official receipt for collection of your passport.

If you lodged your passport application in the United Kingdom or Washington DC, your passport is now being despatched and you should receive it within 2-5 working days. If you are unable to take delivery of your passport in person, a card will be left with instructions on how to collect your passport.
If you made arrangements to collect your passport from the London or Washington Passport Office, it is now ready for collection.
ALL OTHER AUSTRALIAN DIPLOMATIC/CONSULAR MISSIONS
If you nominated to collect your passport you should allow one week from the date of this message before collecting it from the Australian diplomatic or consular mission where you lodged your application. You may wish to contact that mission to confirm that your passport is ready for collection. If you have arranged for the mission to mail or courier your passport to you, please allow a few extra days for delivery.
