I wasn't bothered about the pianist I was just making sure you ironed that shirt properly

My Mum taught me to iron, sew (buttons etc) and use a Tredle sewing machine when I was about ten. It stood me in very good stead especially when I did my National Service in the fifties. Ever since I have been known to be able to "run up a ladies dress"* in no time at all
* Professional tailoring term meaning "run up a ladies dress" :huh:

TIP - A place where one can take one's unwanted and/or broken household items. Many also accept clothing, although if taking clothing to be recycled please don't wear it in order to save carrying it!

Junk Yards are not a depository for organic / household waste, whereas Tips are categorised into many sections, including non-organic and organic refuse etc?

And tips usually become residential estates as populations expand inexorably across the landscape as developers run out of land to build on...

That's why you should never go digging in your backyard if it's built on a former tip.
