Too light for me

How does one make the menur "divider lines" (can't think of another term) darker? For example, right-click on the start globe. Reveals "properties" and "windows explorer." But when mousing over them, the highlighting & divider lines are so light that it's hard to see which is highlighted. Any fixes out there?

This is a function of your theme. It can be modified through the advanced settings of Window Color as well I think.

Start > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Personalization > Window Color > Advanced Appearance Settings > Selected Items

Just change the background color and text in that item and it should change what highlighted items look like. If you cannot get it to work the way you want, you can always install a custom theme.
