HI!

I'm looking for a small & portable tool, that helps me managing my knowledge :)
I would like to have a portable tool where I can put some short articles:
- title
- description (maybe some basic formating like mark down)
- adding tags
- images would be nice but not necessary

maybe ordering this articles in a hierarchical structure (or not).
important is that it is fast: starting saving closing and searing.
It should work with quick filter in title/tags or based on full text search.

Is there any thing out there like that?

KR,
Max

You could set up a spreadsheet for this. One column would contain the title, with a hyperlink to the actual document. The other columns would contain the author's name, the general area of interest, a description, an image, the date of the article, the date you listed it in the sheet, and anything else you can think of. And you could sort on the columns to easily find items - the more columns you have, the better your sorts would be.

By keeping it on a spreadsheet, it would be super easy to maintain.

If you don't already own Excel, try Libre Office Calc.

thanks, an interesting idea.
especially in portability it would be a real plus because it would run on every machien with Excell/Libre office.

But on the other hand I don't know if I would like the UX handling.
I know that I don't like to work with multi line cells in Excell, because the handling it not nice and the more cells/fields I use everything is growing into the width :(

I think I'll continue searching.
