hello just wondering i have a toshiba equium l40-17m windows vista hp just wondering can i update bios to make it faster and just incase i put a new hdd in it is there any way of me updating bios i have looked this

but nothing there for my laptop its a older laptop this one just as a spair but its a great laptop though :geek:

Updating the BIOS is unlikely to make it faster or be needed for compatibility with a new HD. My recommended policy is to not update the BIOS unless the update addresses a specific issue you are having. An update failure, which can happen even if you do everything right, can have very serious consequences.

A BIOS update for your laptop would have to come from Toshiba. If Toshiba doesn't show one there most likely isn't any. An update obtained from anywhere else would be very high risk.
