Hi jumpy,

Welcome to SevenForums!

I have loaded windows 7 64 bit onto a Lenovo ideapad 330, have managed to get everything up and running apart from the touchpad!
I can not find a driver that works for this?

Please run MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat from here => BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you. It might give us an insight from any error code generated for example!

There is further information in Post #1.

I hope this helps!

You only needed to download the MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat under the section msinfo32 [MS System Information] - Problem Devices . . .

Now double-click the downloaded .bat file and select Option 2, that's it!

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
that program states no problem devices were found. Deleting the empty file?

Human Interface Technology | Synaptics
Do a search for a company named Synaptics and go to their download page, the worst that can happen is
the s/w will tell you you're not running a Synaptics touchpad. Then go to majorgeeks, I'm having a age related brain fart and can't remember the tool you need but go to their tools subcategory and get a utility
that will analyse your hardware and tell you what's inside. From there you can go to the manufacturers' web site and get the driver yourself.

I'm helping you too much:

usually the Touchpad drivers are listed in the Mice and other pointing devices section of Device Manager (devmgmt.msc). look there and expand that section and see what is listed there and use this site below to gather the hardware device ID of that touchpad device:
