Need more info. Are you transferring just data or are you looking to import XP and dual boot. Are both the same version (32bit or 64bit)?

Look for the Easy Transfer Cable under Win7 Help & Support.

Microsoft claims that you can't use an ordinary USB cable.

Microsoft claims that you can't use an ordinary USB cable.

Why I ask, is that I saw this Ad. on Craiglist, someone selling this Transfer Cable:

This is complete, in the original ziplock, with software and instructions. Retails for $39.99

I would not spend money on transfer cables when you can buy a external usb drive for less than fifty bucks. You can then transfer your files to your new pc. And you would have a useful device to use later on for something like back up or simply more storage for data.

I have many External USB Drives, but I really want to transfer directly from [ 32 Biy XP machine to the X64,W-7 Enterprise.
