transfer email opportunity

Puter 1: running windows 7 pro, windows live mail.
Puter 2: running windows xp pro, outlook express.

Problem: how to get the 3 identities, folders and address books from
Puter 2 to Puter 1.

My thoughts are to put windows live mail on puter 2 and transfer all
the outlook express to windows mail on the same computer.
Outlook express is finicky about exporting items.
Then, I guess export the mail to Puter 1.
Of course there will be format problems from outlook express to windows
live mail I guess. Have no idea how to handle that.
Other than that I would have to manually send each of the hundreds
of emails in many folders and identities by hand. YUK
Suggestions sure would be appreciated.

I would just use a thumb drive....
