Transferring settings?

I just got a second PC. Both have Win 7 Professional 64bit.
Can I somehow transfer all the settings so that I have an identical look and feel on both PCs without setting up everything by hand?

Of course I know I have to install all the programs manually, but there are so many "small" settings, like folder options in the explorer, the desktop configuration etc.
Any chance to transfer those?

Importing hidden AppData folders is what transfers settings in, but be warned that this is a corruption path into your clean new install.

It is better to go completely clean and set everything up again. You then have a way to compare your old install's performance to see if it is already suffering from "creeping corruption."

Tips for getting a purrfect clean reinstall - use the ones which apply: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/125874-re-install-windows-7-a.html#post1086729
