TRIED installing Windows-Failed>didn´t copy a few files>zurück zu W7 ?

HI!
I tried to install Windows XP 2005 (from an original recovery disc) on an old Laptop (Medion MD 41300, 32 BIT) but it failed due to the fact that it didn't copy a few files (messages while installing). Now I am stuck in between (endless loop). XP tries to boot, but is messaging in between that important files are missing, then starting again from the boot beginning.


How can I possibly reinstall Windows 7 from my disk on key (USB STICK) where Windows 7 is saved as an ISO file...?!? Or other "easy" (I am not a pro) ways...?!? I tried to boot from the disk on key (USB STICK), defining that in the BIOS Boot-menu, but it doesn´work...?!?


Hope I described my problem appropriately, due to the fact that English is not my first language.
I am looking forward to potential answers and most appreciated efforts!

Where is the iso file?

The usual way is to extract the contents of the iso file on to the usb stick.

You can do it with a small tool called usb7ice :ar: View attachment Usb7ice.zip

As I said/tried to say the ISO-File is onthe USB-Stick (Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 Bit (Auto Activation).iso / 3,48 GB)


Again:
I am stuck in between > endless boot loop from XP, never finishing to the end... The laptop doesn´t boot from the USB-Stick!

- HOW CAN I MAKE THE LAPTOP BOOT FROM THE USB-STICK?!?
- I copy&pasted the ISO-file to the stick: Does "...to extract the contents of the iso file on to the usb stick..." means something different?

Usb7 ice will format the usb stick and copy the contents ( what is inside the iso file ) of the iso file onto the usb stick.

You can not do it that way if the .iso file is on the usb stick.

You can use 7-zip to extract the contents of the iso file onto the usb stick.

7-zip does not format the usb stick so the iso file will remain on there as well as the contents. That is ok.

Sie können 7-zip verwenden, um den Inhalt der ISO-Datei auf den USB-Stick zu extrahieren.

"Usb7 ice" is a software?!? Ok. Sorry I didn´t see your first answer...!

I have to
first format the usb-stick with the potential "Usb7 ice"-software (which I can not find in the internet) and ,
then extract with 7-zip (which I know/have and use) or
either one of these both steps...?!?

As far as I understood and can tell, I did what you said would be the right way...

- Extracted only the iso-files inside the extracted folder with 7-zip to the stick (1.JPG)
- Changed the boot preference in my BIOS to the stick (2b.JPG)

Computer still starts with the broken XP-sytem...?!?

You might need to install the NT6 MBR and NT6 PBR

you can do it with bootice. Select the usb stick in the dropdown
