Triplehead2go windows 7?

Looking to upgrade from vista to 7. My biggest concern is with my matrox triplehead2go. Does anyone have experience with it and know how well it runs on windows 7

Any info people have is appreciated.

TH2GO Digital is working on 7 but...

Hi,

I have just installed Windows 7 x64 and I can confirm that the TH2GO Digital is working on 7. I have 3 monitors and It works fine with just 2 of them (1900 * 1200 twice).

Unfortunately, I have not been able to setup it up on all three monitors with 1600 * 1050 like I could under Vista x64. In that setup only one screen is fully filled, the other two are boxed.

The Matrox Powerdesk management tool is not really working as it gives me errors on a regular basis. Matrox has confirmed that a new version will be launched when Windows 7 gets on the market.

Have you been able to get the TH2GO to work on Windows 7 and if so, how many monitors and with what resolution?

Analog Triplehead2go working FINE on Win 7 64 bit

Matrox emailed me to say that the triplehead2go is not set up for Win 7 and that they have no plans to make it so. Bummer.. BUT........

I upgraded to Win 7 64 bit anyway, and sure enough, the disc that came with my (analog) triplehead2go didn't work. So I went onto Matrox's site and downloaded what looked like a sensible driver. Not sure what or where - go check it out. Maybe it was Vista 64 bit?

Anyway, it worked. I have three screens running fine on Win 7 64 bit off my analog triplehead2go. Very pleased, and quite surprised.

(screens are two 19 inch HP 1906s, and one Acer223W 22 inch widescreen - orientation 3840 x 1024)

Nb googling along the way, I came across a tip which I incorporated into my final successful setup. I think it was this: right click on your powerdesk icon, select Compatibility, and select, (ticking the box) Windows Vista (Service Pack 2). That's what I have set up now.

So... analog triplehead2go users, take heart, despite what those lazy bleeps at Matrox say, it is definitely possible to get three triplehead2go screens working on Win 7 64 bit with a sensible download from the Matrox site (don't ask me, I can't remember and I didn't save it, but I think it may be as I said it was) and that simple tweak.

The Vista 64 driver works great with Windows7 for the TripleHead2Go with the settings that were suggested. Really appreciate it as I did not want to have to upgrade the hardware. I'm running 3 24" Samsung monitors off the TripleHead2Go off a Windows7 laptop. The images are clear using 3840 x 1024 resolution - effectively giving 1280 x 1024 for each screen. Works great. Oh - I am using a Analog TripleHead2Go. Thanks again.

I am trying to get a TripleHead2Go Analog working with Windows 7 (64 bit) and Lenovo Thinkvision TFT 17", 9227-AG1, L174 screens. I am using the 64 bit Vista driver.

The Matrox Power Desk SE thingy appears down the bottom right and I can configure with this but max res stuck at 2400 x 600. I don't even see any resolutions higher than that.


I am getting trouble running the Matrox Powerdesk SE utility from the start Menu. It worked once and I got a config screen but I can't get it to start again.

I tried setting computability to Vista SP2 but this seems to have had no effect.

Any tips appreciated.

Tripleplay2Go Digital is not waking up after Windows 7 sleep mode...

Hey guys. I know this thread is a bit old but I thought I would through my two cents in anyways. I just upgraded my system to Win7 64bit and could not get my res above 3840x1024. I have 3 19" LCDs and my native res is 4320x900. I contacted matrox and they currently have a beta version of powerdesk that is going to be released in 4/2010 that does support the 16:10 x3 resolutions. If you CALL support (not email) they will remote in and install the new powerdesk and set it up for you. took me about 30 min yesterday. Hope this is useful to someone out there.
