I was streaming free new release movies for our family on a daily basis from Putlocker and I have been having pop-ups from places demanding money to get rid of a Trojan virus they say is infecting my system.I have stopped streaming the movies but my laptop is running very slow, lots of pop-ups, not able to go to other tabs, and my bookmarks bar is not working at all.I also am having problems running my Kindle and other apps that are on my hard drive.Just all around my pc is awful.I tried Malwarebytes but when I tried to remove the threats my mouse pad would not work at all and I had to restart pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also are all the free tv and movie sites like that because I use my internet for all tv use .I thought as long as I wasn't watching x rated or downloading my pc would be safe?Thank you

Putlocker.bz is one of the largest unauthorized movie streaming services on the Internet. They basically steal movies and offer them for "free". The problem is, they aren't really free as you discovered. More often than not, the torrent service downloads additional software that allows them to recoup costs in other ways such as holding a PC hostage until payment is made. In most cases, even if the payment is made, the PC is left infected. I hope you don't use your PC for financial business or secure website usage. Not to scare you but you should change all your passwords.

The best (fastest) course of action is to clear the disk and reinstall Windows.
