bought bluetooth usb micro adapter, (Nexxtech), successfully downloaded installation cd, computer recognizes usb dongle but there is no bluetooth icon and I cannot add any devices. I am trying to use my computer to link music to my new bose portable speaker.
Previously downloaded fsquirk but cannot figure out how to remove it and wonder if that has any bearing?
Hello and welcome Carol now download Revo Uninstaller to get rid of the fsquirk?? never heard of it to be honest and usually one has to "pair" the device to the machine with Blu tooth.
Now from a Google there are no drivers for that dongle and it should be recognized in Devices and Printers see my pic of my mouse there mind you my laptop has an internal Blu tooth so I cannot say for sure if the dongle will be there. Also if you see my other pic go to there and see what is listed you can access that through Control Panel or there should be a small pointer lower right on the taskbar that you can click to "Customise" and just look through the listing to see if it is there.

Thank you ICIT2LOL for your response! My computer recognizes the dongle and it is listed but there is nowhere that will allow me to add my bose speaker as the device I would like to connect my desktop to.
Ok Carol just so I know id the Bose speaker actually a Blu tooth device? I know this sounds rather obvious but I haven't heard of them before.
If it is a Blu tooth connect device then it should be recognized as anything when you are trying to "pair" it up.
Just out of interest what model is it?
PS Have just found them via a Google and not being funny the device is powered up as the ones I can see are lithium in battery powered.
