Trouble upgrade from Vista Ultimate(32) - 7 Ultimate 32

I'm trying to upgrade a computer from Vista Ultimate (32 bit) to 7 Ultimate (32 bit) and I keep receiving this error message:

"This installation disc isn't compatible with your version of Windows. To upgrade, you need the correct installation disc. For more information, check your computer's system information. To install a new copy of Windows, restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc, and then select Custom (advanced)."

Now, I double-checked all the system requirements and the system is compatible with 7.

What is the origin of the disk you are using? Can it be corrupted?

It almost sounds like you are trying to use a 64bit upgrade disc on your 32bit system...

I'm using the official/physical Windows 7 disc I received from Microsoft. The disc is labeled 32-Bit and the disc is being run directly from the CD/DVD ROM drive.

I went back and checked the requirements on the computer and the only problem that might be there is the graphics card (256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO). Could that be the issue?

Your issue is an incompatable OS version.
You are trying to install an X64 version over a X86 OS.

I woudn't think so from that message, but if you can try installing without it. Let us know what your system is as requested

Do you have another computer you could try that disk? You may have gotten the ppb failure...

I filled out the system specs to my best knowledge. I'm still not sure where this issue lies. (I'm going to try the disc on another computer as we speak).

Just confirmed it. The disc works on another computer so it is not a problem with the disc.

I'm not sure what fixed it; however, after I tried the disc in another computer, I put it back into the computer where it was having the problems and it runs now.

Also, just before then, I finished updating the driver for my graphics card. So I'm not sure what was causing it not to work; however, it is currently running the setup and copying temporary files.
