Trouble with hdd all of the sudden

Greetings

My laptop was working fine until this morning; i explain the situation

yesterday i powered off the machine like usual, i boot it this morning then
i notice the hdd led always on and the boot last longer than usual

then i can use it just for online stuff; as soon i touch a file it freezes for a while what happened?

yesterday i was able to move delete files like normal; im on this laptop as i write this

i checked the resource monitor, i dont see anomalies 32% ram usage 10% cpu usage

Seems that you have a disk issue.
Run a disk check

open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f

It will say the disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = Yes
restart
Pay attention on the results. specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors...

yes, you were right, i checked the event manager

it needed a file system repair is all good now, i had to do it on boot cheers

Did check disk find any bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors... ?
