For the past couple of days I have been dealing with a BSOD stop issue, Currently I am unable stop the system from restarting on an error so the system is caught in a loop. The loop occurs in Safe Mode as well as Normal Mode. I am only able to get pieces of error information. The one test I was able to run once was a memory error scan which came back with zero errors.

Error: IRQL_NOT_Less_Than_Equal

Stop Error: 0x00000001e

OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.256.1

BCCode: 1e
BC1: 0000000000
BC2: 0000000000
BC3: 0000000000
BC4: 0000000000

I have not made any hardware changes however, here are the two software changes. In my research it appears that these software changes may be a source of my problem.

  1. I uninstalled ISObuster
  2. Added a significant number of MP3 to my iTunes

I am not sure what my next step would be. I am unable to boot the system in any mode. I am not sure if any of the tools on UBCD would help me in my current situation so I could continue to gather data. Is there a tools boot CD & boot USB image that could be used in this situation.

Thank you.

Thank you. I have run all the commands.
I received a message saying that this system could not be repaired automatically.
While viewing the diagnosis and repair details the only error I could locate states the following:
Unspecified changes to system configuration might have caused the problem. Error code = 0x1f

I have tried that without success as well.

I was looking at building a USB drive with tools on it. I noticed a BootMgr error. Digging a little deeper, I ran bootrec/RebuildBcd and it came up to say that there are 0 Windows installations identified. Does that I mean that the damage is so great that I have to do a complete reinstall of Windows 7?

Thank you

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Ultimate x64,
Would it be beneficial for me to run something like Ultimate Boot CD to run a registry scan / repair?

My second question is how can the software inform me that it cannot find a windows installed on the hard drive while I am in the Windows repair menu? I am confused about this.

Thank you.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Ultimate x64,
I have downloaded the Win 7 repair disc and run it without success.

It stops during the process of restoring files.
It halts when dealing with Evernote 3.5. I have tries multiple restore points with the same result.

Thank you.

Make sure Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred) is marked Active. I would use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to do this, so that you can also post back a camera snap of the drive map/listings, and from Disk tab run Rebuild MBR. Rightclick Win7 to check file system and run Surface Scan, Explore to see if files are intact.

Next http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105541-startup-repair-run-3-separate-times.html which should automate System Restore and System File Checker. If not, run both from Repair CD's options list:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139810-sfc-scannow-run-command-prompt-boot.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html

If Repairs continue to fail you may have irreparable corruption, copy out files using this method: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93347-copy-paste-windows-recovery-console.html

As a last resort you can run a bootable AV scan: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

Then run factory recovery partition or disks, or wipe the HD to overwrite corrupt or infected code and http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/125874-re-install-windows-7-a.html#post1086729

Onboard Video
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Also, just a quick update.

I ran Memtest v 3.8 and came up with 8000+ errors.
I am leaning towards that this is my failure.

However, I still need to run Partition Wizard bootable CD.

Thoughts?

Thank you to the forum.

I changed the RAM and was still experiencing the same problems.

So, I dug out my power supply tester and it appears that my PSU may have been the cause the whole time. I do not getting any -5 v to the MoBo. Thankfully, I do believe that I have a spar PSU to put in.

I will continue to troubleshoot and report my findings.

Thanks to the forum for the help.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Ultimate x64,
A quick update to close out this thread.

I replaced both the RAM and PSU. I put a spare HDD into the system and I am back up and running with a fresh Win 7 install.

I will be starting another thread in another sub-forum to help with moving program files off the old drive to the new drive.

Thank you again to everyone for your help.
