In this procedure you are going to be deleting entries in the Registry.
It is imperative that you perform a "create a restore point".
This is so that, in the case of the wrong info being deleted that you can go back and put the registry in order by restore to the restore point you saved.
To create a restore point:
rb: | type
create a restore point | Enter
type a name for your restore point and
Enter again.
Run Autoruns.exe as administrator.
Avter the "everything" tab has fully populated, then:
Ctrl + Home ------ this will position the cursor at the start of the list
Ctrl + F ----------- this will pop-up the Find dialog
enter AVG
The only thing that should be checked is Down
ENTER --- the find will commence.
You may get responses for entries that are not related to your problem.
Ignore these entries.
To continue searchng,
Ctrl + F and then Enter ------ you will advance to the occurrence.
When you find an entry for AVG that is related to your problem then:
Right-click and choose Jump to
You will go to an entry in the registry.
Right-click on the highlighted entry and choose Delete
Now here is a neat feature.
Once again click on Jump to
You will be sent to the next occurrence in the registry of AVG where you can once again delete.
Keep doing this until nothing more AVG entries of interest are found.
Now using just that single AVG from the Everything list you've done some registry cleaning, but you are not finished.
Right-click on the AVG entry and choose Properties.
This is going to show you the file and the location of the file
In the top box of the General tab----is the name of the file.
In the Location field-----is the location of the file.
Write down the location and the name.
You will be going to that location, finding the file and deleting the file.
When you've finished going thru all of them with the registry cleaning,
close autoruns
Delete the files you wrote down.
Restart your computer.

The real source of those messages could be from another program you have installed.
To help investigate this possibility, then the startup.txt and install.txt files from CCleaner are needed. Here is how:
