Trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on an AMD Ryzen 3

Hello, this is my first time on the Seven Forums. I was wondering how I could fix a problem with installing Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on a HP Laptop 15-ef1xxx with AMD Ryzen 3 with Radeon Graphics 3250U. I booted into the installation in UEFI mode (Secure Mode was off) using a USB drive that had a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (it was from Windows 7 Image Updater and I also burned the image to the USB using Rufus). It all looked like it was functioning, until midway through the installation. (I also noticed the cursor didn't show and the trackpad wasn't working) When it had to restart, it managed to get to the "Starting Windows" screen, but it froze. Looks like you are using one of the win7 2018 iso files.

sha2 patch, mainboard drivers and 21.11.1 apu drivers


They can be integrated into install.wim using dism++ ( or integrate into the already applied image which might work , if not then integrate into install.wim and reinstall/reapply )

Can I use NTLite instead of DISM++?
Do I also integrate the files in your signature?

File>Mount Image

mount wim image into an empty folder

add drivers and updates

save image

unmount image

Yes, I used Direct Save and then I unmounted the image. Do I choose "Save image as" or "Save image"?

It then asks if you want direct or incremental

If you do direct save it overwrites the existing image in the wim file.

If you do incremental save, it creates another image in the wim file.

I did everything you said and I see a blue screen saying "Recovery" with error code 0xc000000f. How do I convert the MOUNT folder to a bootable ISO?

The mount folder is only for temporary mounting of an image. Nothing else.

After an updated image has been saved, you could make an iso from the distribution folder which contains the updated wim.

the distribution folder is any folder that has the contents of the installation media inside and will contain these:




and among the many files insides the sources folder is the updated install.wim file.

All of the files in the distribution folder were copied to the MOUNT folder. Then I converted the folder to a bootable ISO using Imgburn. It did the same thing as the beginning, freeze on the "Starting Windows" screen.

Many months later, I managed to get it working, using FlashBoot Pro I found in an ISO.
