trying to see why my shutdown is hanging - event viewer events missing
I'm trying to see why my shutdown is hanging (after services stopped) on this build, and what impact disabling unnecessary stuff has on my machine, but I have a problem.
My event viewer only has a couple of warnings. I've been shutting down, and restarting, and no events are being recorded!
I followed info in Performance Tuning Guidelines for Windows 7 Desktop Virtualization v1.9.docx, and disabled a lot of scheduled tasks. I also disabled some logs (eventvwr.msc) and traces (perfmon).
Any ideas how I get it back?
eventlog (svc) is auto + started
