trying to set up my phone into mic port

if i plug my mic into my sound port its fine but cant change volume without changing volume on the device or on the computers master volume... if i check listen to device (so i get the volume control) i get an echo... is there any way to get rid of the origional sound? not the one that i can control (the listen feature)...?

btw i doo have realtek and when i turn up the recording volume but turn up the playback volume it fixes it but when i take the volume on the device above 20% the quality is all muffled
