Turn on Wireless Connectivity

The OS seems to have turned off my wireless card when powerran low. It appears that the card is working properly according to the networking control panel item. How do I turn connectivity back on?

You wireless card is probably set to sleep on inactivity.

To reconnect, go to Start > Run, type cmd. Now type ipconfig /renew.

If that doesn't work, try ipconfig /release, then ipconfig /renew

right-click on the wireless connection, choose the power Management tab and uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Also uncheck the second box also.

Maybe it will help some of you - My wifi has been disconnected every few minutes.
I spend some time looking for software solution and in the end I have found that wifi connection in win 7 is simply much worse than it was in XP (in the same conditions, linksys router and card in slot). In the result it often dropped connection when I download file biger than few MB (it works without any problem with browser, skype, etc). It has never happened with XP. I noticed that signal level is changing between 1-3. When I moved laptop near the router (signal level at least 4 from 5) there is no problem. So I think the wifi manager is not enough effective in win 7 RC. The original wifi manager from linksys (used in XP) does not work in win7. It can be installed but is not active.
The only solution was to place router in a bit higher position (previously it was deep behind the tv set) and when signal level is 3 the problem disappeared.
BTW my download speed is much better in win7.
