There's no switch on my laptop and Fn + F2 doesn't work either. I'm not sure what else to do or where the problem is ._.

It uses the Atheros wireless adapter and there is an updated driver for it...

Who's internet connection are you trying to connect to? To connect to a secured network, it will ask you for the SSID name (name of network) and the security phrase (password) of that network to allow you access to that network connection.
