Can you point me to the link on a tutorial on using the windows 7 search tool? I can't seem to find it. Is there one?

Hi, if there is not one in the tutorials, type search into the Start / Search box and click on
find and fix problems, at the top of the Menu page, this might help you.

Although we have a very extensive tutorial library, I do not know of one pertaining to search. Jfar has provided a very good resource for learning more about this tool. If there is any information that was not provided or unclear, you may want to examine the contents of this link.
