New to the forum, I've bit of a doozy unfortunately:I've a HP windows 7 laptop, it was hooked up to a generic 46" telly, working fine,I was altering the resolution and must have selected one that wasn't compatible with the TV, now when I have my HDMI cable plugged in from the TV nothing displays on the TV and my laptop cycles every 5 seconds or so from a blank screen to a 3 second flash up saying my screen is not at optimal resolution. The laptop works fine with its native display when not hooked up to the TV, is there any way to rollback the change I made? I can't find anything online and there's no option to change display properties on the TV when its not plugged in, tearing my hair out here...:-( Any advice would be greatly appreciated....
