TV tuner

I am trying hook a Comcast digital box up to my computer via coax cable. I am also trying to find a a device (some type of IR transmitter i would assume) that i can set to automatically change the channel so i can set it to record. Any help would be appreciated i have been searching for a couple of hours now but im not finding anything that i am 100% confident will work.

Are you using the DTA box from comcast? Here's the tutorial I followed Set up a Comcast DTA with Media Center

This is the remote I'm using, there are others though.

Have you tried calling or contacting Comcast Support and asking them how to set it up?
