Solved Twitter page will not load corretly

Hello
I am new to this forum although I am well past retiring age.I do not know if I have put my question into the right place.My wife uses twitter and just recently the site will not load properly.All you get are images which are Ok the rest is blank apart from a few characters.
I have checked all the settings on IE9 removed all cookies and history.Reinstalled Java. Restored the computer as far back as possible and even tried firefox.
All this and the result is still the same.
Can anyone please help with a possible solution.

It sounds like twitters web page might not be happy with your internet explorer security settings. Please check your browsers security settings by following instruction's listed below:

1) Go to Control Panel
2) Internet Options (Internet Properties windows will open)
3) Click the Security Tab
4) The Zone should be on Internet
Note: Near the bottom of the page you will see a button to restore to default settings
5) Click the Default Level button
6) Click the OK button

Now try your to log on to your wife's twitter and see if that helped.

I'm having the same issue - IE's security is not the problem. It's happening for me on Firefox AND IE.

Here are two screenshots of what he means (for me it also happens on a VERY sporadic other few sites, such as the BitTorrent site shown in the one screenshot):

This is the same problem that we have.It does not happen on any other sites yet.I have tried the suggested security reset but it did not work.

Twitter page solution

I have deleted the HELETICA font and it now works fine.

I finally also deleted the "Helvetica" font and now pages such as Twitter and the BitTorrent home page are loading properly...

But...it had always worked before when I had those fonts installed? When trying to fix the issue I had even copied the Helvetica font from a different computer to this one in case the version of the font on this machine had become corrupt and websites still rendered improperly....any ideas as to what causes the issue?
