Solved Two drivers appear for the keyboard and for the mouse

I am using a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800, and a Logitech M510 mouse, and noticed that there are two HID compliant Microsoft drivers installed for each in the Device Manager. On boot, the BIOS reports 2 keyboards and 2 mice.

I found this when trying fix the problem of an occasionally frozen keyboard, on trying to select a boot on the GRUB menu, or even to access the BIOS. This problem also occurs with Logitech keyboards as well. This is a dual boot Windows 7 and Xubuntu.

Hello ineuw mate personally I always found the M$ 800 KB a problem device whenever I used one and especially the wifi one that included the mouse that came with a combo package.

Now in Device Manager you say you have two KB's and mice listed but does it say what they are? If you do what I did in my pic you should see what the device is but it is not always the correct report.

Now I am away form home right now and cannot access my ditty on a software that shows up what you have but try downloading HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download (the correct but version) close the initial screens and then click on the sections as in my pic also it will give you really detailed info on that particular component.
