Two entries of keyboards and mice?

Hello,

I found out today that I have two entries of HID-compliant devices in both keyboards and mice under Device Manager. If i uninstall one of them or both then after a restart there's two of those again.

Is it normal or is something wrong?

If you have anything like a game pad, or scroll wheels on the keyboard it is normal. Even if you don't, Windows 7 seems to like to put a listing for HID-Compliant...something-or-other in there.

I did the same as you and would remove what I thought were generic devices which should have been removed when the driver for the "real" one was installed. Now I just go with the flow.

That's might be the mice you're using adding an entry in the device manager. Looks normal for such gaming mice, imo.

Maybe. The reason why I started to investigate is that when I boot or reboot my machine and get to windows (desktop) then the mouse takes a second or two to start working. Before that I can move the mouse but the cursor doesn't move.
Strange...

Could be loaded at start-up, so it freezing a little.
I'm telling you that about keyboard added in Device Manager, because my MS Explorer Touch Mouse did the same entry and i was also first surprised to find two of them.
