Hi and welcome to 7F. As badcrc said not a good idea to show your serial numbers so maybe re-post it with those numbers removed. Not sure how many IDE ports you have but if you have 2 of them you should connect the optical drive to no 2 with the jumper on Master and the 2nd hard drive to no 1 also with the jumper on master as not usually a great idea to connect both an optical drive and a HD to one IDE and especially setting the HD as slave. if you have more than one SATA port and only one IDE one you'd be better off getting a new CD/DVD drive and connect your old HD on it's own to the IDE port and set the jumper to master. Also log into your BIOS and make sure your system drive is set as the 1st boot option. Did the 2nd HD you're trying to connect has a Windows installation on it as that could also create an issue with trying to boot. Not a great idea to plug the power into a HD once the system is running especailly the old IDE HD's
