My Win 7 64 bit computer currently shows 2 identical icons in the lower right system tray for the weekly microsoft/windows updates that are available. Previously, whenever an update was availabe an icon would show. This week there are 2 identical icons. My updater is set to notify me when updates are available but not to download or install them. I have downloaded and installed all the critical updates this week. The icons currently still being displayed only relate to optional updates that I do not want to install currently.

Why are there 2 icons? And, how do I eliminate one without installing the optional updates?
