Have you changed anything on you computer in the last hours?
Have you plugged in anything into your computer from the time it was working, anything: Examples, phone, printer, camera, external hard drive, mouse, keyboard ect. How did you make this new folder and what were you using it for.
You state in post #19 that you had this computer in the shop for repairs. I can't find were you stated this before. What did they do and/or find? Are other things updated such as Java, Adobe ect? This little program can help their.

Can you show what is in msconfig Start Up and NON- Microsoft services.
Start and type msconfig/ go to Start Up and then go to Services and check Hide all Microsoft Services. Do not fool with Microsoft Services. I would like to know what is running in the background, sometimes it helps. Their may be more than one problem hiding behind each other. Any information can help us.
I'm not trying to barge in here but information will help writhziden and others.
