Solved .txt is not a valid win 32 application

i have successfully exported data from an online report to notepad for months. Just recently, I have been getting the error message, ".txt is not a valid win 32 application". Any ideas on how I can get this ability back or check my system to ensure that notepad is the default program?

If you like, you might see if downloading and merging the .reg file for the listed .txt option in the tutorial below may be able to help if it's an association issue causing this.

It sounded like your .txt file may have been mistakenly set to open with an invalid application. The .reg file restores the default to have them open with Notepad.
