UAC - Exception List?

I have two programs I have placed in the "Startup" folder; one is a temperature monitoring program which I must have running.

Unfortunately due to UAC kicking in they do not autostart.

Is there someway I can get them included in say an exception list in respect of UAC?

Thare is no exception list for the UAC, although this particular issue may be solved by use of the task scheduler to call your programs at start-up with the correct permissions.

I have been trying since the early Longhorn days to get Everest to start when windows does and the only way I have found is to turn off UAC

I'd rather have UAC functioning.

Placed a shortcut on desktop as interim measure.

BarMan has the correct idea. I run an .exe with a delayed start with highest priv and it works.

there is a new tool called LOGINstall which you can use to create UAC exception lists.
