Just wondring were you can get Ubuntu drivers

I'm planning on installing it, and use the internet, however my PC does not have a Wifi thing.... So i had to go out and buy a Netgear Wirless adapotor.... that came with a CD with the driver on it.... So i was wondering how i can an Ubuntu driver for it, or will the windows CD work with it.

Another question Im ganna put windows XP on Virtual Box... I was wondering if the adopter would work on the 2 OS at once?

WiFi adapters in Ubuntu can be troublesome. There is a way to use ndiswrapper to "wrap" the Windows driver and use it in Ubuntu. If you get a wifi adapter with the right chipset it can work natively.

When using a wifi adapter in VirtualBox, the hosts network connection (wireless or wired) is bridged and appears as a NIC to the virtual machine.

Strollin referred to ndiswrapper, which in many instances will allow use of the Windows driver for the wireless card in Ubuntu. However, in many instances, these cards are detected and supported natively by Ubuntu so I'd try it first to see what happens, sometimes they work right out of the box.

As far as the Virtual Machine, it will as Strollin said generally share whatever connection you designate it to share and the Virtual instance of Windows XP will see this network card.

I suggest trying it out and see if it picks up a wireless driver from a default installation.
