Hi group I have marked a few courses of mine on Udemy as completed and it automatically gave me a certificate. But now i actually want to take these courses but the date of the Certificate is old.

I know how to reset the progress of the courses but am not sure if there is any option to change the date of the certificates. Does anybody know how to do it, or if it is feasible?

I don't think it is feasible. You can change name that appears on the certificate, and get a new certificate but there is no mention that that change will necessarily generate a new date. I don't think it matters, as the certification scheme does not conform to an particular accreditation, meaning the certificates are not worth that much.
So, you may as well watch the videos later and keep the original certificate of completion - but really, ticking the videos as complete, when you had not watched them is really a form of self-sabotage, don't you agree? Or perhaps, you see it as a fault with the site? I have joined Udemy only this week, and I must confess I was not very interested in the certificates, I was only interested in the course content.

Well to be honest, i didn't know how Udemy worked at the begining and i thought that by thicking all the lessons and keeping the certificates that i would be able to re-take the course i know it doesn't make any sense lol

Being of the hacker mindset, I know of a program years ago that was able to alter the time and date of files, and I'm wondering if the Cert. can be modified in Notepad ++. But I'd back up those Certs first.

I don't know anything about this website and its certificates, so I'm not sure. Be warned this could get you kicked from the platform or something and I wouldn't try it though.

Something else. Use OBS Studio to record the videos... Now you have a backup.

I mean, because i have so many courses saved, i thought that if i thicked all the lessons in advance and getting and saving the certificate, i was not risking the chance of not getting a certificate after a period of time. I thought there was a specific time that the course gives out certificates, and then it stops giving them away....that's what i meant. Thanks for the info guys.

It appears that course lessons and certificate awards are not on a fixed schedule or timeline, like in a conventional college course. Instead, on that site, course videos can be watched many times, when the user desires, using their online video player, and certificates are synchronised with completion of lesson videos (video ticks).
