UEFI/Legacy bios issue

I bought a brand new Sony S series and it was shipped with windows 7 and boots in UEFI mode. I have encryption software I need to install, and it's not compatible with UEFI mode. In my bios I see the option to change the boot mode to legacy, but when I do that and restart the computer I get this message 'operating system not found'. How can I run my computer in legacy mode? Do I have to set the bios to legacy and re-install windows?

1) Install encryption software that supports UEFI.

2) Reinstall in legacy mode.

Does it matter that the reinstallation discs are just recovery discs? Or do I need a retail copy of windows 7?

I can't use just any encryption software, just the kind my company requires.

As you are using Company software have a word with the Company IT Administrator, there may be a update for UEFI.

There will be and updated version eventually but that could be months.
