Unable to add file attachements to Email with IE10

Using Internet Explorer 10.
When attempting to add a doc or pic file as attachment in both AOL and Google mail
I get the "choose file to add" window but when selecting any file it fails to load and
displays "loading" forever. By disabling all add-ons in IE Tools I am able to attach a file
as expected. Disabling the add-ons one at a time does not identify the cause and does
not resolve the problem - I have to choose "disable all add-ons" with Manage Add-ons.
An exhaustive web search has not found a good permanent fix for this and maybe somebody
on this forum will have a suggestion for resolving the issue.

Using No add-ons mode disables most security suites browser add-ons,

What do you use for security ?
You can active Enhanced protection mode,​

Thanks, Thrash. Managed to get around the prob by temporarily disabling
Protect Mode in IE Tools. Don't understand the cause of this prob but as
long as I can overcome it as described above, I'm OK.

I wouldn't suggest doing that,
I would rather you clicking Start and All programs,
Right click the Internet explorer listing and click on Run as administrator and see if that works,
Please reset to default security settings.

Thanks again Thrash. Tried that 5 times and it worked every time - a much better idea
than messing with security settings. I'd like to know the root cause of the prob but will
settle for your easy fix. Cheers!

Replace what ever shortcut you use to open internet explorer,
As to why ?
It must have something to with your user account,
The most straight forward process I know of/ someone may correct me by saying Go to Properties and Compatibility section and check the box near the bottom to Run this program as administrator.
But you might try this alternative and yes it is a pain,
Make a new administrator account and change your other account to standard,
Create a new administrator account,
