Solved Unable to boot after using DriverMax.

Greetings!

I am unable to start my windows 7 (home edition x64). Computer freezes during the starting windows(or was it resuming windows) or gives an almost blank screen after it. Using a Dell Inspiron 1555. I think the trouble might be caused by DriverMax Software. I downloaded a few new drivers with it. Safe mode doesn' work either. Tried to use startup repair, but it did not help. I would appreciate some help. Reinsatlling windows would be the last resort, I have not backed up my files. I also tried the system restore option from the Windows CD menu, but It showed that I don't have any restore points created. (I think I had some at some point, but I guess they have been deleted or something)

Would anyone be able to help me get my windows working again? Is it possible? Could some diagnosis from Dell CD's be of use?

Did you try a startup repair with the disc ?

There is no good reason to use a program to update drivers. Let windows do it.

Totally agree with Zomby88!
I would suggest using Device Manager and see if any device needs updating, additionaly you can check device manufacturers website about drivers...
