Hello, first I want to apologize up front if this topic has already been posted with the problem resolution as well. I have searched throughout the networking and sharing threads but was unable to find what I'm looking for...

I have two computers in my home, a Tower PC and a Laptop both running Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit. Both computers use the same usernames and passwords to log-in to each respective computer locally.
Both PC's are in the same HomeGroup using the same HomeGroup password.

I'm attempting to access the user folder on my laptop remotely from my Desktop. I'm sharing the user folder on the laptop and the permissions are as follows:
Username: Owner
HomeGroup: Read/Write
Everyone: Read/Write --->recently added 'Everyone' in the hope that I'd be able to change the contents of the remote user folder from the desktop... In this case, I'm attempting to rename a folder within the remote user directory..

--When I go to rename the folder within the remote user's folder/directory, I get the following error:

-You need permission to perform this action.
-You require permission from Administrators to make changes to this folder
--Try Again or Cancel buttons are my only choices.

So why is it that I've given read/write permission (on the laptop end) to my user folder for 'HomeGroup' and 'Everyone" but am still unable to remotely rename a folder within that shared folder? I appreciate any help or suggestions you may have to help me through this. Again, I'm sorry if this has already been addressed in the thread however I just can't seem to locate a similar issue within the hundreds of possible threads..

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer..
